As well as studying, I write. I am a regular contributor to poetry journals and also write short stories and articles on a freelance basis. Reading and writing are my passions, which is why I proof read. This way, I get to read about a whole range of fascinating subjects whilst helping people create a sound piece of writing.

I can offer proof reading and copy editing on a range of texts, but particular interests of mine include science, economics and literature. Services and prices are described below.

When I proof read your work I am checking for and correcting mistakes in spelling, punctuation and grammar. I also check for the incorrect usage of words and will add or remove the odd word, as is appropriate.

Charges for proof reading start from just 0.6 pence per word (£6 per 1000 words). Price is based on subject and level of English used in the manuscript.

Copy editing

Copy editing is proof reading and more. As well as checking for mistakes I also ensure the work flows well; this is done, for example, by restructuring sentences, changing the placement of paragraph breaks etc.

I offer copy editing from 0.8 pence per word (£8 per 1000 words). Price is based on subject and level of English used in the manuscript, as well as the extent to which rewriting is required.

Ghost writing

I can write text for you for any purpose if all relevant information is supplied. My own writing experience includes short stories of many genres, poetry and feature articles on a variety of issues. My diploma in sub editing and design has also given me an awareness and some practice of Journalese. Prices for writing projects will be negotiated individually.

Work is performed at a reasonable pace: long enough for accuracy but swiftly enough as to not keep you waiting unnecessarily.
